Uniqlo 'Metatronia'

For Spring Summer 2018, Uniqlo is bringing fans the Art and Science behind its LifeWear brand. Strong contemporary designs rendered in high-tech fabrics take care of the technical side of things. And to bring the art to life, we collaborated with the Harvard Foundation’s Artist of the Year, Solange Knowles, on ‘Metatronia’ –a performance, dance and sculpture piece choreographed to capture the beauty of everyday human movement.

Since its debut at Los Angeles’ Hammer Museum, ‘Metatronia’ has been seen by over 75 million people. Vogue Magazine claims it has elevated ‘closet basics into high-fashion territory’ and called it the ‘perfect hybrid of advertising and art’. Like the timeless Uniqlo clothing that features throughout, we’re pretty confident its appeal will outlast the season.
